Hi friends! I can’t believe May is over already and I’m bringing you another monthly wrap up post. June is here, and that means 2020 is almost halfway over. Hard to wrap my mind around if I’m being honest. Slow down 2020!!! I have books to read and time is going way too fast for my taste. I hope you all are staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. Just keep your heads up, kindness in your heart and patience for those around you. 💕
Unfortunately, I’ve been in quite the reading slump since about mid-April and didn’t read many books at all. I managed to read a total of 8 books in May, one of them being a 27 minute audiobook of a children’s book about climate change. 😂 Hey, I gotta do what I gotta do to read the BookRiot 2020 Read Harder prompts that don’t vibe with me. I did have some fun nostalgia with Magic School Bus though.

Of the 8 books I read, my favorite was Duckett & Dyer: Dicks For Hire by G.M. Nair. I read this one for a blog tour, so check out my previous posts for a full review. One book that I added to my TBR last minute was Norman 2 by Stephen Lancaster. I was super excited to receive a eARC copy via NetGalley, and will be posting a review next week. It was a fantastic ending to one of the creepiest paranormal stories I’ve ever known, let alone read. I had 2 rereads, Catching Fire and Dead Until Dark, and then the other two books were for review or blog tour. I really enjoyed all of the books I read, so that my friends would be what I consider a successful month of reading!
One thing I hope to accomplish in June is to not put as much pressure on what I read. I will obviously stick to the blog tours that I signed up for, and a buddy read I have, but other than that I’ll let my mood dictate what I read. I’ll go more in detail as to why in my June TBR post going up in the next couple days.
I’ll keep this short and sweet, I am dying to get back to my reread of Twilight. ☺️ If you’ve read any of the books in my wrap up let me know and leave a comment. Thanks for stopping by!
Positive Vibes & Happy Reading!
