I had a chance to read this vibrant and captivating historical fiction novel Clytemnestra’s Bind by Susan C Wilson with #TheWriteReads blog tour group! It’s been a very long time since I read a historical fiction novel or Greek Mythology story, so I immediately said yes. I am absolutely not sorry, and adored this book.

Author Bio
Susan C Wilson is a working-class Scottish writer. Her lifelong passion for ancient Greece was ignited as a child by stumbling across stories of gods and heroes in the dictionary. She loves to explore what makes us human: the eternal motivations, desires and instincts that cross time and place.
She has a degree in journalism from Napier University and, in preparation for writing her novels, gained a diploma in classical studies from the Open University. Clytemnestra’s Bind, her debut novel, was long-listed for the Mslexia Novel Competition 2019. It is the first in The House of Atreus trilogy and will be published by Neem Tree Press in June 2023.
My Review – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Clytemnestra’s Bind by Susan C Wilson is a beautifully written Historical Fiction novel about the story of Clytemnestra and her life as the Queen to Agamemnon’s rule over Mycenae in Ancient Greece.
Wilson’s telling of the trials and tribulations that Queen Clytemnestra survives is emotional and inspiring! The writing so imaginative, it makes it nearly impossible to not read in one sitting. The characters are all well depicted, so that the reader can easily follow along and not have to flip between the pages of the story and the character guides.
As far as historical fiction goes for the time period of Ancient Greece, this was incredibly enjoyable and fairly accurate. Definitely a book I’d recommend to the readers who love Greek Mythology and History.
